To help you, we've created a simple guide to washing and storing your lingerie that will help keep your BonBon pearls pristine for years to come.

1. HANDMADE LINGERIE NEED HAND WASH

BonBon Lingerie recommends always washing your lingerie by hand or on a delicates program. The three simple but crucial steps of hand washing are soaking, washing and rinsing. To soak, place your laundry in cold or room temperature water mixed with detergent and leave it there for 10-15 minutes. Then rub the dirty areas gently between your fingers or with a soft brush. If there are no dirty spots, alternate washing in and out of the water for a few minutes. To rinse, place the laundry in clean water for five minutes. Do not use force or twist your premium laundry after rinsing. Instead, gently squeeze out the excess water. If necessary, you can also wrap the wet bra in a dry towel and gently squeeze to remove excess water. Avoid skidding!

2. ONLY USE THE DELICATE WASH PROGRAM IF NECESSARY

If you decide to wash your laundry in the washing machine on the delicates program, be sure to use a mesh laundry bag. Using a laundry bag avoids excessive stretching of the precious items and helps the laundry retain its original elasticity when drying. Make sure you wash your laundry with other delicate items, as heavier laundry can tear the delicate lace fabric in the drum. Do not wash your laundry with lint-prone fabrics such as terry cloth or fleece.

3. WASH YOUR BRA AFTER 2-4 WEARS

It is recommended not to wash the bra after each wear as this reduces the elasticity and durability of the straps and material.

4. KEEP THE WATER TEMPERATURE BELOW 30 DEGREES

Each fabric has its own recommended water temperature. In addition to high-quality lace, we also use many polyamide and elastane blends. High temperatures can destroy the threads of these materials and cause excessive stretching.

5. CHOOSE THE RIGHT DETERGENT

Delicate laundry needs delicate treatment, so it is important to choose a detergent that is suitable for delicate laundry. The wrong detergent can make the fabric rough and ruin its appearance. When it comes to dosage, you shouldn't exaggerate, but stick to the quantities stated on the package. Overdosing can result in some of the detergent not being completely rinsed out and, in the worst case, cause allergic skin reactions.

6. DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER OR DETERGENT

Detergent residue remains in the elastane and Lycra fabrics, dulling the colors and attracting bacteria that cause unpleasant odors.

7. DO NOT USE THE DRYER

Always let your laundry air dry as the heat from the dryer destroys the elasticity of the laundry. Be especially careful with underwired and push-up bras as they can lose their shape if not cared for properly. To dry, lay the bras out on a flat surface in their proper shape.

8. DO NOT IRON LINGERIE

Excessive heat can melt the fabric fibers.

9. PROTECT LAUNDRY FROM EXCESSIVE HEAT AND LIGHT

When storing, be careful not to leave the laundry too hot or exposed to too much light, as fabrics containing elastane or Lyrca blends may lose their original bright colors.

10. KEEP YOUR BRAS IN THEIR ORIGINAL SHAPE
